A little home
where big growing happens.
Miss Millie's Playhouse is a home based nursery and preschool with room for only ten children, so every child gets to be known, not just cared for.
Licensed & family run since day one — same faces every morning.
We kept it small on purpose.
Miss Millie's Playhouse started in a spare room with a few blocks and a lot of patience. Years later it is still just one home, one group, and one grown up who knows every child's favorite snack and the exact way they like their shoes tied.
We blend real playtime with early letters and numbers, gentle routines, and enough outdoor time to come inside pink cheeked and ready for a nap. No corporate curriculum, no rotating staff, just steady care in a house that feels like home because it is one.
Same rhythm every day, and that is the point.
Predictable days help small kids feel safe. Here is roughly how ours goes.
Arrival & Free Play
Quiet toys, blocks, and hugs while the house wakes up.
Circle & Letters
Songs, calendar time, and a first taste of letters and numbers.
Outside Time
Fresh air, running, and dirt under fingernails, weather allowing.
Lunch & Chat
Family style lunch at one table, everyone talking at once.
Quiet & Rest
Nap mats out, soft music on, batteries recharging.
Crafts & Pickup
Art projects, story time, and hugs goodbye through 6:00 PM.
Why families end up staying for years.
A few notes from parents who started with one drop off and never left.
Our son has been going since he was eighteen months old and he still asks to go on weekends. It genuinely feels like a second home to him.
Knowing there are never more than ten kids there made the decision easy for us. She learns names, not just faces, and that matters.
The daily updates and photos make me feel like I did not miss a thing at work. Pickup always feels like picking up from a friend's house.
A few spots open this season.
We keep the group at ten so we can only take a couple of new families at a time. If a home based classroom sounds right for your kiddo, come see the space before you decide anything.
